It’s a joy to be able to give joy to another person. That’s one of the joys of postcrossing. Recently I sent a postcard of Elma my cat to a Finnish lady who loves cats.
It reached its destination in 28 days after traveling 9,090kms!

Dear Leona,
I must say your postcard with Elma-cat and adorable bird stamp was something
very special, thank you so much! Elma is a beautiful cat. I have two cats, Eetu
and Pilkku. They are both nearly 15 yrs old males, both black and white. You can
see Eetu in my avatar photo. Pilkku is also rescued, from a abandoned cats
shelter. He used to be very shy and afraid of everything. But years have passed
by and he has gained courage. Today he is a real friend who loves cuddling.
Your card touched me in a very special way. I don´t believe in coincidences,
but what was this…My beloved mom who passed away seven years ago was named
Elma.
Thank you Leona. Have a beautiful day. Lots of warm thoughts from Finnish
Lapland.
Ulla
that’s a real nice tale. always nice to know you’ve touched someone, somehow, even in the ways you least expect it.
