Last week on our way back from Genting Highlands, we decided to visit Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm which is like 20 min from the top. This place used to be quite cold, but on that day it was rather hot with a bit of breeze. The last time I was there, it was free admission with a chargeable fee to enter the Lavender Farm inside, but now it is NOT FREE. Now the fee is RM8 for adults and RM5 for children 3-12 years. Jawa Street Townstay Malacca Review
Last year, my church youth and young adults decided to go for our planning retreat in Malacca, and we found this nice, quaint little townstay hotel really near to Jonker, Jawa Street Townstay. Basically, this hotel is a row of shophouses transformed and renovated into a very cool apartment style hotel. This is perfect for a big family getaway, as you cannot book just one room, you have to book the whole house with first and second floor. Each house has either 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms or 5 bedrooms. Hotel Hallmark Leisure Review
I had to make a last minute booking for our last trip to Malacca, having not really planned it. It was Wesak Day, so most good recommended hotels are full. Then I found the Hallmark Leisure Hotel on tripadvisor and it seemed pretty good. Note that they have 2 branches, another one is called Hallmark Inn. The one I booked was pretty near to town on Jalan Portugis. In fact, we walked to Jonker Street from the hotel. The hotel looked really normal from outside, low cost type. Take a Day Trip to Kuala Selangor
When you say Kuala Selangor, I immediately think of Fireflies. But guess what, that’s not all there is in Kuala Selangor. There’s much much more, so let’s find out. Last Labour Day, we took an unplanned day trip drive up to Kuala Selangor. According to Google Maps, it was gonna take us 1 hour 43 min driving along the highway.
