THE MPO PRESENTS MOZART’S JOYFUL HORN CONCERTOS AT DEWAN FILHARMONIK PETRONAS!
The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will present a concert full of wonderful melodies, elegant lyricism and pastoral loveliness on Saturday, 12 August 2023 at 8.30 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC. The concert will be conducted by MPO Resident Conductor Naohisa Furusawa. The centerpieces of this programme are Mozart’s two horn concertos. Not only did Mozart write more concert works for the horn, all the concertos rank at the pinnacle of the solo horn repertory. The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) celebrates the 150th birthday of renowned classical composer Sergei Rachmaninoff in concerts themed ‘Happy Birthday Rachmaninoff’ on Saturday, 1 April 2023 at 8.30 pm (sold out) and Sunday, 2 April 2023 at 3.00 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC. The concerts are part of the MPO’s 25th anniversary this year which celebrates glorious masterpieces from the classical music world.
