    Defensive driving curriculum?

    March 26, 2007 / 5 Comments

It seems Malaysia’s transport department has decided to introduce a new defensive driving curriculum for learner drivers. My first reaction to the news was, how will this help the current situation. Is this really tackling the root problem? After been through the curriculum myself last year, I found it quite complete already. I don’t think that is the cause of accidents and terrible drivers on the road. For me, it’s back down to corruption. 90% of people I took the driving tests with paid the officials extra money to get a ‘guaranteed’ license. With so many of these who didn’t fulfill the standards of the current curriculum and yet are…

    Scratched!

    March 26, 2007 / 2 Comments

My car got scratched yesterday! Was doing some grocery shopping at Tesco here, when a black car who couldn’t reverse properly scratched my rear bumper about 6 inches, causing much blood to drip (red paint that is). Anyways, we got out happy with the groceries, and saw a note on the windscreen. It reads, “I scratched your bumper. Call me at the number 013######”. What!? That was the initial reaction. We searched the bumpers for the scratch and found it…more than a scratch. (photos later) Well, looks like I have to send the car for touch up or respray. I called and smsed the guy. Got a reply back and…

    A very different seminar

    March 21, 2007 / 0 Comments

This week I am absolutely busy due to the basic life seminar. Now I had been promoting this seminar in church for the longest time but I must admit I don’t know anything about it at first. I thought, well, just another seminar. However, after attending just till the second night last night, my impression of it has totally changed. The basic life seminar is basically a video seminar, with a forever young looking Dr Bill Gothard teaching on the very basics of Christianity, and being a Christian for so many years, I still found so many new things to learn from this man. I was totally tired from work…

    Life as it is

    March 19, 2007 / 3 Comments

I’d usually get really busy at the end of the year. But this time it’s different. I find myself drowning with one too many things all of a sudden, from planning the big day, to organising seminars, to changing focus, to my studies, to trying to get the basic work done. I’m getting pretty disorganised now, I wish work can be more simplified for a while. Hey but that’s life. Life without all these work, would be boring no? It’s actually rather exciting now, amidst the tension, and being able to accomplish one thing is really satisfying. I can’t exactly say I rejoice amidst stress, but I can honestly say…
