It’s Free, It’s Fun, It’s Full of Surprises

    April 23, 2008 / 2 Comments

I recently joined Postcrossing to exchange postcards from around the world. It’s a great thing postcards from Malaysia to anywhere in the world is priced at a standard RM0.50. That’s really cheap compared to many other countries. Well, so far I’ve sent out 3 postcards, to Finland, Czech Republic, and USA, I guess my cards are having a good time travelling to where I’ve never been myself! Anyways, this made me remember Bookcrossing.com. I joined bookcrossing back in 2004. At that time, I received a free book to start off, but I never really register or release any books. Maybe because I really didn’t have many books around. Well, today…

    Free glamorous studio portrait

    April 21, 2008 / 4 Comments

Ok there’s no such thing as ‘free’ studio photography, or getting into a studio for a portrait for free, but you certainly can create your own at home. Professionally done studio portraits can be quite complicated, and requires lots of touch ups in Photoshop, but I’m not interested in that, I’m interested to doing something really simple that anyone can do in a matter of minutes. Sometimes, we just like to create some fun glamorous portraits, well, for online profiles or whatever portfolio you may have. What you need: Digital camera for a digital photo, great lighting (the sun), nice smile and a PC with Photoshop running Great, first start,…

    Fancy a random surprise?

    April 19, 2008 / 2 Comments

Do you remember those days when we used to write letters? I mean those with stamps, that you need to write on nice paper, bring to the post office, get it sent? Being very sentimental I still keep all the letters I used to receive, in those pre internet eras. Even when I first came to uni, when emails already exist, me and my sisters, and even my dad, we used to send each other letters. In fact, until today, my dad wish I would still send him letters, but being caught in the frenzy of a speedy lifestyle, it has become a hard thing to do. Recently, I joined…

    Male, Female, Doubt?

    April 18, 2008 / 1 Comment

I was registering a new company name after following the steps from here today at the Malaysia Government Website. Yes now you can actually register your business name and sole proprietorship online instead of spending RM150 on a runner or travelling to the Mall yourself. Most busy people won’t have time to do that, so I’m really glad the government realised that. However, it does surprise me that our Malaysian government, or whoever built this website, categorises Malaysian citizens into 3 genders…Male, Female or Doubt. Is that category for those who medically underwent sex change surgeries? Or are there so many citizens in much doubt of their gender? Anyways, if…
