Sarawak Tribune will be missed
I grew up reading Sarawak Tribune. Although having moved out of the state many years ago and preferring The Star now, it is still sad to read about its demise. There are already only two mainstream English dailies from Sarawak, so now alternatives for local news seemed even more scarce for Sarawakians. I can just imagine the horror of those who work there, the editor in question, who for one day was busy creating news for the masses, and the next being put out of work. Well overdue memorable moments
Last CG, Joanna asked us to think about our best memory of 2005. WikiHow published a How-To guide to doing nothing. It’s basically for workaholics who can’t stop doing something. WikiHow teaches workaholics to plan ahead for their doing nothing schedule, stare into space and meditate. Is that considered doing nothing? I know I can’t stop doing something, even if I’m sitting still not physically doing anything. Even if you’re sitting, you are doing something, you’re sitting aren’t you. A human’s mind can never stop working. If you’re meditating, you may actually be praying. WikiHow teaches one to ‘clear you mind’. I think that’s dangerous. Our mind guards us in our actions, which without sense and wisdom, with a mindlessness, we could do…
