    Predicted flood didn’t happen

    wisma saberkas Originally uploaded by Leona. Last year during Chinese New Year, many houses in Kuching was affected by the terrible flash floods. This year, a couple of flash floods was predicted to happen on Chinese New Year Eve and some other day. However, none of that happened, in fact the weather in Kuching had been fine and beautiful. I took this picture from the car on a very fine day with fantastic blue sky. Somehow I feel the sky is more blue in Kuching? It’s just wonderful and hardly ever too hot.     Dream come true

    panasonic fz3 Originally uploaded by Leona. I had wrote about my dream camera in September being the Panasonic FZ2. Little did I know about the FZ3 then. I had finally got it for my birthday recently, and it is just a sweet baby! It fulfils every expectation of mind. Firstly, it’s got great zooming power. I can snap stuffs that’s so far away, of people being their natural self and details of nature etc. It is great. Be sure to check out my Flickr gallery which will be updated very often now.

    I was reading this blog NowandEver and there was this beautiful account from IraLippke, a designer currently working in a Bali orphanage, on what he and his buddies did and saw in Achech during the Tsunami. He was talking about how it was so hard to get in to help as the government had all these rules that all foreign help had to go through them.
