Chinese New Year in Kuching
Would this be my last full Chinese New Year celebrations in Kuching? I definitely had a lot of fun with my family and meeting up with a few friends, much less than last year though. As usual, way before the clock strikes twelve, the whole city of Kuching is already lighted up with fireworks, and the deafening sounds of firecrackers and the array blasted away, getting louder as it gets nearer to midnight. AYA Fest First Night
P1160341 Hosted on Zooomr The night concert was amazing, despite the poor turnout. It was at the Putra Stadium, and nobody filled the stadium seats..only on the floor seats. But regardless, the concert was awesome. I arrived rather late, around 7.30pm, and it only started around 8pm. We saw the ACTStream worship team, Altered Frequency, the Auckland Arise dance team, Mia Palencia and Sonicflood on the first night. Yea they did manage to squeeze in all that… Sonicflood didn’t even come on stage till about 10pm… P1160355 Hosted on Zooomr P1160372 Hosted on Zooomr P1160381 Hosted on Zooomr P1160385 Hosted on Zooomr Sonicflood’s keyboardist uses the Ibook with the keys…nice.…

Making a name
My sis Gabby is really making a name for herself in Sarawak’s artist scene. Ever since I was born, my sis had been drawing, and I don’t mean those kiddy kinds of drawings. I even followed her to a few art competitions in Kuching when I was young, like at the museum and such…of course, she always gets the price and all I got was a sun tan. 😛 But nonetheless, I learned lots of stuff concerning art from her, especially in portraiture. Still it’s not really my gifted area I guess, she’s got the great gift of that, and obviously, Sarawak art society has found that out. So if…

AYA Festival 2007
Have you guys signed up yet? I missed last year’s AYA Fest due to clashing with Chinese New Year. I missed Delirious! Can’t believe that…I really don’t want to miss this year’s…some more with Sonicflood. Anyways, check out the site for more details on sign up and ticketing. And know that when you buy the tickets at RM50 for two night concerts and RM30 for one night concert, you’re putting your money into helping out the recent Flood victims. So faster, few more days to go! Check out Sonidflood’s vids…love them
