\nDid you know that it had been nearly two years since we last went to Genting Highlands? Incidentally, at that time, we went to meet Ice Age characters<\/a> and they happen to be from 20th Century Fox World. So last week, Fox World Studio Store finally opened and it’s right in Skyavenue, the grandest mall I have ever set foot on.<\/p>\n

It was like a red carpet event, as we await the opening of the store. I heard some people even camp overnight here, talk about crazy fans. At Fox World Studio store, you can expect close to 700 themed collectibles from some of the most-loved 20th Century Fox movies, including Ice Age, Night at the Museum, Planet of the Apes, Rio, Alien vs. Predator, Robots, Epic and more. I must say I have watched all these movies before and loved them very much. I have some great memories of watching them with my kids too.<\/p>\n

Lots of people came up for the exciting launch. We gathered at the entrance for 2 hours waiting for the grand opening.<\/p>\n

\nGuess who were the VIPs that appeared? None other than the superstars themselves, the characters from Rio. We will definitely seeing a lot of these guys when the Theme park opens soon. Well, some people couldn’t wait for the opening of the theme park, but you know, opening of the store is always the sign of the upcoming theme park right?<\/p>\n

\nWe witnessed the history ribbon cutting moment, this must be the cutest ribbon cutting ceremony ever. If you remember the music from Rio and the dancing scenes of the carnival in the movie, that was exactly the fanfare we were experiencing on that day. There were Samba dancers pulling people from the crowd to dance together.<\/p>\n

\nFinally, we entered the store and I was mesmerized by the affordable yet high quality merchandise. There were products available for all ages. They are not just for the children.<\/p>\n

\nThe store is quite large and spacious as it spans over 3000sqft. I think this is a great place for buying souvenirs and you can get small gifts to expensive ones based on your budget.

\nWhen the theme park opens, I bet these little guys would fly off the shelves. Magnets come in various designs but there’s nothing like a simple and elegant one like this.<\/p>\n

\nI love these Rio mugs. Every sip will remind me of the great adventure Blu goes through in the movie. There is hope in life!

\nI love the muted colours used for Planet of the Apes Tshirts. By the way, you can’t find these designs anywhere else, these are all one of a kind. Only in Fox World Studio Store.
