The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) celebrates the arrival of Season 2025 with a concert of glitz and merry music-making on Saturday, 18 January 2025 at 8.00 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC. To be led by Resident Conductor Gerard Salonga, the concert will pay a homage to Johan Strauss, Jr. or known as ‘the Waltz King’. The concert will open with Strauss’ most famous operetta overture, Die Fledermaus. This joyous and amorous composition is known for its irresistible tunes and irrepressible charm of Old Vienna.
