I finally received my Ikea Upptacka when Ayl and Li-Ann’s cargo arrived. This range of laptop bags are only available in stores with Ikea Family. In Malaysia, Ikea faithfuls are only known as Friends. Blood is thicker than water oh well.
My first impression was, oh my, so BIG. This laptop bag is big enough for 15″ laptops, and definitely bigger than most handbag type of laptop bags found here. It’s maybe more like a briefcase.
Yet I liked it immediately coz it’s different. Plus I have lots of things to carry to work besides just my Macbook. There are many compartments inside the bag, including a key holder, phone holder, and some small pockets that I didn’t know can be used for what, maybe some tiny gadgets? The pockets were so small I couldn’t even put my SD Card nicely in it.
The bag is so padded I could possibly put a Macbook and a iPad together in it. As if I have one haha. i
Anyways, due to the number of pockets, it can get crazy when searching for one thing, like keys. So I decided to get the Lugmax bag organiser. The local reseller Celine is very fast at sending me my order, in 1 day. I ordered the Large Classic Lugmax and immediately I felt so organised, bag wise. The Lugmax had enough pockets to contain all my things, and the good thing is it has a wide base, and it’s not ‘soft’ so it makes it easy to find my things in the bag.
This is my stuff in the bag organiser, all neat and nice.
This is the Lugmax in the Upptacka. It’s pretty small in my huge bag.
Nevertheless I am so pleased with it, coz this means I can use all my pocketless handbags now and I can change bags for different occasions easily. I keep a small Rume bag in my Upptacka and use that with the Lugmax when I go out for lunch instead of attracting attention with the huge heavy pink bag.
