Kajang Satay

Kajang is located approximately 20km away from Kuala Lumpur and it is in the district of Hulu Langat, Selangor. Kajang is fairly accessible to other parts of Klang Valley via the SILK Highway. Kajang might not be as well developed as the city center in Kuala Lumpur, but Kajang is definitely well known for its famous food attractions, especially the Satay. There are currently 20 outlets throughout Malaysia as of today. There are 4 types of sate to choose from, ranging from chicken sate, beef sate, mutton sate and rabbit sate. The ingredients used to marinate the sate includes lemongrass, tamarind, saffron, garlic, salt and other spices. The sate is then served with a sauce that is made from peanut and other ingredients. Customers can also order the ketupat and Nasi Impit to go along with the sate and peanut sauce.

Rumah Makan Cibiuk Malaysia is one of the restaurants in Kuala Lumpur that serves good and authentic Indonesian Sundanese food. The menu consists of traditional ala carte items and also set menus. Other than the main dishes, you can also try on their pavloava, which is also one of the hit items among customers who visit the restaurant.

Restaurant Kee V Sdn Bhd is located in a housing area in Kajang, well known for its “Lat Tong”, also known as hot soup. The hot pepper soup comes with a clear base and is spicy when eaten. Pork, chicken, intestines and celery were cooked together to bring out the sweetness of the soup. Lots of pepper and ginger were also used to add spice to its soup. The spicy Meat is also one of the popular dishes on the menu. The pork is well marinated and pairs well with white rice. Service here is good and the prices are reasonable as well. Definitely one of the restaurants you shoud visit if you are in Kajang.

As the name suggests, Ten Hup Chee Cheong Fun is well known for its Chee Cheong Fun. Ten Hup Chee Cheong Fun has been around for many years and is well known among the locals. It is now operated by the third generation. Order the mixed Chee Cheong Fun with a mixture of pork and prawns, generously drizzled with the tasty light soy sauce and topped with deep fried shallots. Ask for a side of sambal if you prefer to have your Chee Cheong Fun with some extra kick.

Restaurant Lek Kee is well known for their chicken rice and roasted delicacies, such as the nicely caramelized char siew (barbequed pork), crispy siew yoke(roasted pork) and roasted duck. The meat is known to be tender and juicy, with a good proportion of lean meat and fats. If rice is not your kind of carbohydrate intake, do try their wonton noodle and the curry noodles.
