Christmas is a season of sharing and joy. What better way to share the joy than to invite special guests from ViveKananda Home Rembau, Negeri Sembilan to witness the Christmas Tree light up together! During the event, all the children were mesmerised when lights on the giant Christmas tree was switched on at the grand lobby!
The tree is about 20-feel tall and is beautifully decorated with Christmas ornaments representing Christmas colours and the joys of Christmas cheers.
There was even a caroling team that entertained the children and the media with a few Christmas carols and allowing the joyful songs to permeate the air of the lobby. It was a quite a joyful sight to behold.
Extending and continuing the merry season joy, the Management and Staff of SAMA-SAMA Hotel KL International Airport together hosted a charity dinner for the 30 children who are between 3 and 12 years old. There was even entertainment and balloons provided by a clown, how thoughtful
I bet the children will never forget this meal at SAMA-SAMA hotel, it was really lavish with all kinds of goodies that I would usually dream of!
In line with SAMA-SAMA Hotel’s annual community programs, this special event was organised to share the special festive moments with children and caretakers of the home as well as an opportunity for the children to visit the hotel. They were even given a tour around the venue. The event was made more cheerful when En. Noorazzudin Omar, General Manager of SAMA-SAMA Hotels KL International Airport gave each children their Christmas gift. They had specially prepared the gifts just for the children who were so happy when receiving it.
Vivekananda Home Rembau is actually a home specially created for children without families or from poor families who needed a shelter. There are a total of 53 children living there permanently with about 10 caretakers of whome 5 are volunteers. The home requires a total of RM20000 monthly to sustain the home and the needs of the children. The hotel also presented a cheque to the home as token to help with the many expenses faced by the home. I had worked in an orphanage before and I know how great are the needs of such homes so I feel really blessed by SAMA-SAMA hotel for extending their love and kindness to this home in this time of giving.
