#bersatuTENAGA A Song By Malaysians For Malaysians

In conjunction with the upcoming Malaysia Day, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has launched a social-driven campaign called #bersatuTENAGA. This campaign encourages Malaysians to participate by submitting a simple video according a song / lyric that TNB will be providing. As of now, 3 local artists has joined this campaign : Faizal Tahir, Jaclyn Victor and Elizabeth Tan.

Check out the videos by the three artistes here and what this campaign is about!

Basically, Faizal Tahir is calling all Malaysians to help him complete the song, entitled #bersatuTENAGA which has an energetic and positive message to it. He’s got the chorus only and we need to help him with the bridge and verses. I think this is a really meaningful campaign as hundreds of Malaysians have already submitted their 1 min video of their version of song on instagram with that hashtag and I really enjoyed all the different performances, from duets to dancing to beatboxing. I told my friends about this campaign, and lo and behold we got really excited about it and decided why not we contribute our voices to the song too? It was a challenge but with God’s grace, we managed to complete verse 1 of the song, so check it out at the video below.

The lyrics and Verse we wrote together.

Verse 1
Syukurlah pada Ilahi
‘Tuk saat yang seperti ini
Bersatulah kita, mencipta sejarah
Hari depan yang penuh harapan

Chorus (by Faizal Tahir)
Senyumanmu buat aku
Merasa bahagia
Senyumanmu buat aku
ceria sentiasa
Senyumanmu buat aku
bertenaga selalu
Takkan terpisah kau dan aku
Kau terangi hidupku
Oh oh oh
Kau terangi hidupku

Tell me what you think! Hopefully, if it’s meant to be, our song can be selected to be part of the final video which I will update here on 16 Sept 2016, Hari Malaysia. How meaningful that would for us all, ANAK MALAYSIA!

#bersatuTENAGA A song that won’t sound right without your voice
