I was introduced to the cutest Lip Balm Chu Lip last year with Butterfly Malaysia and much as I loved it, my only pet peeve was that it was completely colourless. Yes, I have a thing for tinted lip balm as it’s like a 2 in 1 for me where I don’t need to apply lipstick again. So yea, super glad that now it is available in 2 new colours Vivid Pink and Sweet Pink.
This type of dome-shaped lip balm is quite the rage due to how cute it is and also the easy to apply in just one touch, by kissing it. That’s why Chu ãƒãƒ¥ãƒƒ actually means kiss in Japanese or more like smooching. Anyways, this new formula has what they call 3D pearl to smooth and moisturise my lips and really the colour is light and natural. It also contains double moisturizing ingredients of Vitamin C and Vitamin E, all the great vitamins to keep lips plump and hydrated, now nobody likes a dry and cracked pair of lips right. I also love that essential oils are used such as Olive Oil, Shea Butter and Rosehip Oil that is able to really moisturize.
Now the container comes in 2 tone colour unlike previously, I guess it it to differentiate between the two variants.
There’s also a light shimmer to the lip balm, shimmer is great, it gives off a playful look and works really well with shimmer nude makeup
The colour is really light but just nice for all day wear. Sweet pink is a lighter pink shade and both colours have SPF22 protection, yes even our lips deserve tender loving protection from the harsh UV rays.
Vivid pink is the brighter natural pink of the two colours. I love them both and use them both interchangeably. I love the slight minty feel after applying these lip balms. Do watch out for these two Chu Lip Tinted by Mentholatum available at all leading pharmacies and major supermarkets for RM18.90 each.
