It’s Friday and we are always thankful when the weekdays end, and what better way to celebrate than over BBQ al fresco style! Thank Goodness It’s BBQ Fridays is launched now at Marriott Putrajaya’s Tuscany Italian Restaurant. We can also opt to dine indoors, the setting every bit as charming as the beautifully shaded outdoors area with cobblestoned walls and complete with red chequered tablecloth reminiscent of every trattoria.

Though BBQ is all about meat and seafood, fruits and vegetables are not cast aside here, with this beautiful fountain of tropical fruits and berries. I always start off my meal with fruits, it is the starter for me. Eat the fruit whole or choose from cut portions, the choice is ours to make.

The salad is as fresh as it can be, it gave me a feeling like I was really harvesting the vegetables right in the farm.

I pair my salad with this array of cold cut meat, really loving the Beef Pastrami and the Smoked Chicken Breast.

I also love adding all types of cheese into my salad and there is a wide array of healthier dressing available as well.

The barbecue area is set up outside, the barbeque spread featuring some delectable seafood, my favourite being the tiger prawns, squid and butterfish.

We can choose what we want to be cooked and just pass it to the chef who promptly cook them over the charcoaled fire pit.

What a galore of meat! These are the juiciest cuts of meat I have ever seen, from ribs to chicken, brisket, tenderloin, it is really value for money with the huge pieces of meat displayed. It is great to be able to dine with friends and family and share them so we can try them all.

How beautiful are the meat and prawns after being BBQed. Super fresh and juicy, bursting with flavour else you can add any of the available sauces including mint which is my fav.

While waiting for the meat to cook, we could also opt for the Oven Roast Beef Brisket, just a slice would satisfy the tummy.

For dessert, we get a wide selection of their best pies, we can choose Linzer, Chocolate, Blueberry Crumble , Apple, Walnut and Strawberry pies. I really love the Chocolate with generous amount of choc chips embedded inside as well as the Apple and Walnut pies.

Pies are so rich, great for sharing too unless you are sweet toothed like me who want to eat it all!

A live band played some lovely tunes while we dined, beautiful music filling the air. They also take song requests and actually played It’s all about that bass at our table when Sid asked for something sexy, I was so pleasantly surprised that which just a guitar and a double bass, the fitting tune sounded so complete.

Priced at RM110 nett per adult and RM67 nett per child, , the BBQ includes a glass of House Wine or Mocktail with Additional Wine/Mocktail Carafes going for RM40 nett per carafe (serves up to 4).
