6 Skincare Benefits In One Kose Sekkisei Herbal Gel

I am still using the Kose Sekkisei Range when the new Sekkisei Herbal Gel was launched recently at Le Meredian Hotel in KL.

Prior to the event starting, the media had so much fun playing with glittery beads and sand as we made our own snow globe in a jar (pic above) which I thought was just a genius idea. We also made some flower tea ourselves and get to try out the Herbal Gel on the spot.

I was really excited about this new Herbal Gel due to its many many benefits and awesome natural ingredients. In fact, Kose actually called it the Wonder Gel due to how cool it is. It basically has 6 skincare benefits in that little jar (For all your skincare needs a fantastic read). In all Sekkisei products, there are three oriental plant extracts, namely, Angelica, Melothria and Mugwort, I get to see how they actually looked like that day. The SEKKISEI Herbal Gel contains another two selected active ingredients meant to  moisturise and promote translucency in the skin, and they are:

Fermented Coix Seed – harvested from a plant that originated from East Asia, the seeds are fermented and its extract is used to promote ceramide production in the skin to improve skin barrier function and provide high moisturising effect; and

Loquat leaf – the loquat tree is another native plant of East Asia, which leaves are used medicinally. As an ingredient in SEKKISEI Herbal Gel, it promotes blood circulation and prevents dullness to give skin a translucent look.

That really is a lot of benefits in one jar, and what I really love most are a couple of things. Firstly, the texture is easy to use, it’s not sticky so it applies on the skin really easily and I can massage for a while for the gel to absorb. Secondly, it can be used as a sleeping mask! What, I don’t need another product for sleeping mask? It is advised to use the spatula to take one scoop for use as normal moisturiser but use two scoops and lather a thicker layer if want to use as sleeping mask. I only started using sleeping mask sometime last year and this is my go to method for that immediate skin rescue. Sometimes, the skin just act up, break out or become extra stressful, so I lather on sleeping mask as the final cream or gel before sleeping and when I wake up, I find my skin is extra hydrated and healed.

This celebrity endorsed product is also great for gym freaks. Yes I have this dilemma also, after a whole day’s work with makeup on, I go home and washed off my makeup and all that, and then I want to go for a run, but I can’t go out with a cleansed face without anything on, or go through that 8 steps of skincare again just to go for an hour’s run and then come home to clean it all off again.
