Lift Your Mood with Kleenex® Scented Tissues

It is no doubt that scent and fragrance has always been used in all kinds of products to create a different mood and to lift our spirits. Whether it is a bottle of expensive perfume, or a room mist, or an aromatherapy candle burning, or a smell of delicious food, something triggers in our brain once we smell the scent. The scent of flowers are especially powerful in bringing smiles to our faces, that is why for centuries, people have been giving fresh flowers to loved ones, or some people love to place fresh flowers in vases all around their houses to create the enjoyable mood. Last week, I received this parcel of Kleenex Scented Tissues and it was a most uplifting package as I could smell the Rose and Cherry Blossom even before opening the package. Since it is the Christmas season, what better time than now to share an uplifting message using my Kleenex Scented Tissue? I’m not sharing one but three ways you can do it! This is after all the best time to express our love and appreciation as Christmas is the season of gifting and receiving.

In my office, my colleagues have set up this cute paper cups with everyone’s names on the cup, and hung it on the wall. What we are going to do is to write an uplifting message for anyone, any day, and place it in the cup, all the way from now till Christmas day. I will take it a step further by placing a small gift, a scented one, and make it even more uplifting by wrapping it with my Kleenex Cherry Blossom thick 3-ply tissue.

Here is my star soap made by Josiah in his holiday camp in school.

It’s just so simple, just wrap it with the tissue.

Place it secretly in the paper cup when no one is around! Can you imagine the sweet feeling the next day at work when you receive such a gift from someone but you don’t know who? It doesn’t matter who, most important is the person will feel special and loved and happy that day for sure. Why not try this in your office for everyone? I am sure the scent of the tissue will make people less stressful in the office too. I didn’t just make that up, this is proven through research. Professor Charles Spence from Oxford University, who is an expert from multi-sensory experiences, actually did a research in which he found that fragrance can influence how people relate to how they feel.

Another way to uplift the mood this season is to create some crafts together with Josiah my little artist. Not only does the activity together bond us together, the product of our craft using Kleenex Scented tissues can be used to decorate our office and be a blessing to all my colleagues too, imagine the nice scent that will permeate through the air after our little activity!

We are going to make a paper plate Christmas tree to decorate the plain glass windows and we will be using the Kleenex Tissue as Christmas ornaments or little balls of snow. First we cut a paper plate into quarters.

We staple the plates together like this, with the extra paper made into a star for the tree top.

Josiah started rolling up small pieces of tissue into balls and sticking it to the Christmas tree plate.

Using some green and gold ribbons, we curl it around the tree for decoration.

Here’s how we can decorate it on the glass windows to liven the mood.

Or even just place it with some other decorations. It’s creative and really uplifts the mood in our office tremendously!

While we were at it, we decided to make another craft that can cheer anyone up when it is used! Are you curious? Josiah again started cutting out the centre circle of the paper plate.

Is this an astronaut? No, we are going to make a Santa face mask!

We cut out a triangular shape of a red card and staple it to the top of the circle mask, it is to make it look like santa’s hat.

Using a piece of the Kleenex 3-ply tissue, we stick it to the bottom of the plate like this to make a beard. The tissue being thick enough doesn’t tear easily.

Then we crumple a tissue into a ball and stick it along the rim of the hat.

This is how our final product looks like in the end! So simple and fun, not to mention it smells real good.

This is how you use the mask, it is fun and interactive and I am sure it will cheer people up on a moody day any time!

We certainly had a lot of bonding time working on this craft together, not to mention a bunch of silly selfies we took while at it. I’m going to use this mask for our Christmas party photo booth later so everyone can bring home a piece of joyful memory from our celebrations.
