Christmas Gift Idea 4: The Body Shop with Free Delivery

Yay! We are at Christmas Gift Idea No 4 and today’s idea is just too easy. I dropped by the store in Mid Valley last week to buy some gifts for myself and to check out the free delivery service.

What’s more, the Christmas limited editions are out! Frosted Plum, Frosted Cranberry, and Glazed Apple range, they all look so delicious!

The Glazed Apple range is in green and I was told this is the most suitable range for men. They have the Glazed Apple Shower Gel, Glazed Apple Body Butter, Glazed Apple Shimmer Fragrance Globe, Glazed Apple Bath Jelly, Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist, Glazed Apple Shimmer Lotion, Glazed Apple Fragrance Oil and Glazed Apple Lip Balm. In fact, all the different products are available in the three different ‘flavours’ mentioned above.

I am of course, attracted to the Frosted Plum range as they are in my favourite purple colour. However, the packaging and colours are super nice when put together, really feel the Christmasy mood just looking at them.

In the stores, I also saw many prewrapped gifts in beautiful shaped boxes and tin boxes that I could just pick up and have them delivered free to me. If not, separately bought products can also be beautifully wrapped for free exclusively for LYB Members (Body Shop Love Your Body Members). Non members can still get a beautifully wrapped gift at a minimal fee. If not, your gift will be just delivered in your standard Body Shop brown box .

Anyways, with the help of the beauty assistants in store, I finally chose these three products, the Glazed Apple Shower Gel, Frosted Plum Shower Gel and a Frosted Plum Sugar Scrub. I just gave my details, name address and phone, paid and left the store. I was told that the gift would be sent the very next day and sure enough, it arrived just a day after that. I was so excited, even though I bought the gift for myself, I felt the excitement of receiving a present from someone far away!

The gift would come in this standard box, the box was so big even though I know the product I bought was quite small.

When I opened it up, there was a white sheet of paper covering it. So much anticipation right?

A little peek of excitement, that was my beauty box seated comfortably within the big box. Oh my I loved the packaging. Tenderly and beautifully tied up.

It was a beige box with gold trimmings of The Body Shop logo, with the brand’s own ribbon tied with a gift card on it stating, Happiness Made Here. It was simply but classy so I loved it so much.

So I opened it and there sat my products neatly and nicely, and hey there was even a paper flower inside, I immediately felt the sense of thoughtfulness from the person who wrapped this gift beautifully.

The colours of the Christmas range fits nicely into my Christmas decoration.

Is that a Christmas tree?

This will be my shower gel, it is sweet in taste and yes, smells like fruity plum. It lathers on easily and I love the tall bottle with the flip cap that is easy to use in the shower with one hand. I think I will shower with this daily throughout December to have the feel of Christmas season every day.

So I chose this Glazed Apple shower gel for the hubs, as I mentioned this is most suited for men. It is also sweet but in a fresh way, I think men likes to feel fresh after a shower? Anyways, being a season of gifting, I should share my gift too hey.

Finally, I got the sugar scrub, because we do need to scrub ourselves a couple of times a week to get rid of dead skin cells and let our skin renew beautifully.

Not all scrubs are made equal and The Body Shop’s scrub is made superior. I just tried scrubbing my hands, and the sugar ‘sand’ is rough enough to clear my dead skin cells, yet at the same time the gel in the scrub managed to soften my skin and smoothen it without drying it. I love the smell too, it just felt really luxurious!
