Aino Living, opened in Desa Parkcity is a colourful, fun furniture store known for their quality livingware, decoration and kitchenware, recently held a sushi making workshop for our little ones. When we were there, Jordan really went into his little make belief world by making himself the king on this little armchair inside the children’s Knight Castle Tent.
Check out the tent, it is quite spacious, now at promotional price of RM219.90 (NP RM279.90). My boys couldn’t stop playing in them.
Aino Living had lauched their highly popular MyKiz range with over 100 new items and old favourites in this store. I was so attracted to our colourful they were, all the storage needs for the many toys lying around my house. There were also German-made HAPE range at Aino with Drawing Easels which really attracted Josiah. Children also loved play cooking with the stylist Zenker Candy Bakeware set with real looking Cake Pans, Spatulas, icing deco sets and cookie cutters. Talking about cooking, I am sure nearly all children really love cooking and baking with their parents. That was why we were at the event with our kids to roll some sushi with Aino, with hopes that they could become the next Masterchef!
During the event, we had a professional chef that first showed the kids how to roll the sushi. To make things easier, we used bread instead of sushi rice.
All the kids were wearing chef hats and aprons, simply adorable if you ask me.
My boys look super funny with the floral patterned aprons! Hey, but nobody mind so on we go to make our sushi!
Josiah was super excited and couldn’t wait to start. We were making sushi with mayo and fruits and meat floss before getting it wrapped in seaweed.
I was surprised that cheeky Jordan successful made his sushi with my help and the help of the chef! He was super proud of this creation that later he kept asking for the sushi as his snacks. I think he ate more of it than any of us.
After rolling the sushi, we cut them into slices to be eaten for our tea time. It was the kids’ first time making these and even I learned a thing or two about. It was a great bonding time for us there with our friends and I realised how important it was to involve our kids in the kitchen, cooking and making things together really brought lots of laughter and joy! Fun can be easily created too with the kids range in Aino that guarantees unlimited magical world of fun and imagination for kids a well as their parents!
