Klang Parade Turns One!

I finally had the opportunity to visit Klang Parade last week and I was so surprised that this mall is massive! I was also surprised that it is only one year old and there are so many shops, food stalls, even arcades and cinema here. I love how wide the space is and most of all, there’s even water features at the front that my kids love.

I was able to be there for the one year anniversary and cake cutting ceremony, but before that, I was entertained by veteran Hokkien girl group, Chen Xiao Fei 陈.小.菲. This is the first time I heard of them, but guess, their new song Bojio 麦讲 is really catchy and cool. The group name is actually derived from the the surnames of the three beautiful women, Chen Wei Zi 陈薇芝, Xiao Feng Feng 小凤凤 and Phoebe Yap 菲比. Hokkien is actually my main dialect some more, most of us from Kuching can speak Hokkien ya, just like Penang.

To our delight, Chen Xiao Fei 陈.小.菲 treated us media and fans to a few of their songs, one even with rap in it, it was my first time hearing a hokkien song with rap, so you can be sure their songs are modern and upbeat and suit every age group. I love their stage presence too, these songstresses were not only able to carry a tune, but they were fun to watch as they interacted with the fans, giving away free posters and played games.

Two lucky fans were brought up on stage too to sing in Hokkien and a young man who was Xiao Feng Feng 小凤凤 loyal fan was able to sing really well! I bet they made a lot of new fans during their performances as well as I saw people getting their CDs which was on sale at the event.

They even treated the fans to a group selfie session and an autograph session. Chen Xiao Fei 陈.小.菲 was really gracious as they stayed back to autograph the posters and CDs for each and every fan.

Guess what, even I got the opportunity to get an autograph! I get to see the women up close, and their complexion is just so flawless!

What’s a celebration without a cake right? The girls also had a cake cutting session with the top management of Klang Parade.

On that weekend as well, the Rejuvenate Dance crew was also there to perform in the annual ShuddupNDance Vol.3 Grand Finals, wish I was there to watch that.
