Skinsoul Natural Volume Attack Mascara Review

I was sent this Skinsoul Natural Volume Attack Mascara last month for my review. What initially attracted me most was the feature of growth and curl actives. This mascara, unlike many I have used claim that my lashes can grow longer after 3-4 weeks daily application. When I visited Skinsoul Boutique in Mid Valley Megamall, the beauty assistant also told me that her lashes grew within 3 weeks of use and that she no longer had to use fake lashes which caused her real lashes to fall out. I thought that was worth enough to make me try it out for myself.

I had always been known to have small eyes and short lashes, yet I am too lazy to apply fake lashes, which is also what my beautician mum warned me against using. She said that the glue in fake lashes are extremely harmful for the delicate areas around our eyes. The only time I used fake lashes was on my wedding day. On first application of Skinsoul’s Mascara which comes only in Black, I fell in love with it immediately. Not for the growth feature but for the texture and ease of use. I had use cheaper drug store mascare before that clumps and is sticky that I can literally feel it when I blink. This one, I don’t feel anything at all, yet it has an obvious thickening effect. I do not even use a curler when using this mascara. It gives a very natural look for the lashes. You know what they say, you’d want to use makeup to make you features look better without looking like you’re using any makeup. So this Skinsoul Mascara perfectly describes that. I will not look like I’m using mascara at all when using this. It just gives a subtle lengthening of the lashes and thickening.

The brush applicator is actually quite big, but it was able to coat all lashes perfectly..once again it doesn’t clump even if I brush it on a few times.

The main ingredient is Mulberry Root Extract which is a natural ingredient derived from the mulberry root bark. It is actually used as a traditional medicine for many centuries for its ability to promote metabolism and stimulate hair growth. It also contains high levels of Vitamin C and antioxidant, all good stuff! So I bet you want to know if there is any visible difference to my lashes. The truth is, when I look in the mirror I do not see a significant difference at all, but this morning I took this photo and compare it to the initial BEFORE photo and was quite surprised at how different it looked. Just judge for yourself.
