There is a new cartoon on Disney Junior coming to town, and it’s really really cool. Disney Junior’s “Miles from Tomorrowland,” an intergalactic adventure series, blasts off 17 August at 9am on Disney Junior (Astro Channel 613). This new show is suitable for kids aged 2-7 and is set in the future in space! Kids are going to love this, and will also get to learn super galactic words from Miles Callisto and his family. Yes, the cartoon is very family oriented, showcasing Miles close bond with his dad, Leo, a mechanical engineer, his mum, Phoebe, the ship captain and his big sis Loretta, a tech-savvy helpful gal and finally his beloved robo-ostrich pet, Merc.

The Callisto family will explore new galaxies and meet with many weird aliens, some are even friendly. My boys watched four episodes in one seating without moving as this cartoon is able to bring you into the adventures at the same time reminded young viewers of the importance of the family. Most times, the adventure would be really dangerous but always ended up with the family working together to find the solution. By the way, this cartoon is produced by Emmy-nominated writer and producer Sascha Paladino, who was also involved in writing/producing other notable Disney cartoons like Henry Hugglemonster, Ni Hao, Kai-Lan, Doc McStuffins, Team Umizoomi, Wonder Pets, Winx Club, Blues Clues to name a few. These are all favs of my boys.

Prior to the launch, we were all invited for the preview held last week in Petrosains, the Discovery Centre that is partnering with Disney. There will be many Tomorrowland-themed activities going on there, and surely the kids will have endless fun playing there while learning at the same time.

What an enjoyable time the boys had, lying comfortably on bean bags enjoying the show while munching on donuts and nuggets.
