Althea Korea, the Latest Korean Skincare Online Shop

Korean skincare is definitely all the hype these days in Malaysia, with many mushrooming across the malls. Recently, however, there are many Korean skincare shops mushrooming online too, and they all offer great prices to beat the instore ones. The problem with shopping online is, sometimes you wonder about the authenticity of the product, who is the actual seller, the expiry date, or sometimes you are not sure which product is great and works on many people. Due to this, I was quite wary to shop for Korean Skincare online until recently when Althea Korea was launched!   11252352_135465086785694_8479053438546992174_n
Being just launched, this is the best time to shop in Althea because of the many deals. Since it was launched on 1 July, Althea had offered RM1 deal for for Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel from 1-3 July. This was selling about RM23-25 elsewhere online. 10256664_137434959922040_3794955930204504076_o
I thought after 3 days, the deal would be something similar but it only got better! On July 4-6, this Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask was going for free! The only catch was the price of RM40 will be rebated as credit for your next purchase, plus new customers even get RM10 credit giveaway by participating in the Facebook giveaway. So that’s like a total of free RM50. 11703077_139206673078202_6859896888991213782_n
This is the current promo which unfortunately is SOLD OUT just now only, but I managed to actually grab this deal! So Happy. There is no way on earth anyone can get this deal of only RM77 for not ONE but TWO Laneige Sleeping mask.

Althea also lists for you the bestsellers and their best picks, so this is great for newbies to skincare like me who is not sure what is the best selling item out there. Now let me tell you about my shopping experience, as most shoppers want to know how easy it is to shop on a certain site and how reliable is the courier and how fast one can get their products.

Basically, I was one of 50 Butterfly Project Malaysia Beta testers who get to shop earlier before the launch. I shopped and got my confirmation of order immediately on June 24. Actually I was given 150 credits (equal RM150) to shop for anything I want, but the pricing was SO GOOD that I couldn’t help it but shop until RM190! So I added on using my credit card through Paypal, which is the current payment channel. More channels to come very soon!

For my first order, I bought Piolang 24K Gold Wrapping Mask RM69.00

Elizavecca Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask RM27.00

Holika Holika 3’Seconds Starter (Vita Complex) RM36.00

Tony Moly Egg Pore Tightening Cooling Pack RM29.00

Tony Moly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm RM29.00

On June 29, I received an email saying my K-beauty box was shipped! So exciting. That was the timeline for beta testing time, customers who order now will get your order shipped immediately the next day. I ordered my 2nd box yesterday and got the email that it shipped TODAY.

Anyways, I then received my first K-beauty box on July 2. It was all pink and nicely wrapped up, who doesn’t love to receive a nice parcel that looked like a present? Untitled
When I ripped open that pink outer packaging, inside was a bubble foamed wrapping around a very light pink box. Very awesome packaging! As you know with beauty products, if it is not well wrapped, there’s the risk of it bursting and leaking, I definitely had that experience with a certain other company recently, thankfully it was free so I didn’t pursue that.
When I opened it walla, all the products, nicely fitted into the box, surrounding by pink paper to keep them in place, and they were all stuck to the pink paper with cellotape so that they don’t move around in the box. I saw some other customers had theirs with bubble wrap for each and every product. I was ok to not have them on mine since they were all in their own boxes anyways. As written on the box, Althea Korea gives Free Shipping for orders over RM150. However, for this promotional launch period, it had been lowered to RM100 until 31 July. Also the products are 100% Authentic, after all, the company is really in Korea, why ship fake ones. There are many ways you can identify a fake from a real one, and having received this pack I can assure you they are all real. Althea has this guarantee, that just in case the product is fake, you can send it back within 30 days, you can even send back products that you are not pleased with, unconditionally. For me though, I’d rather not return anything, if you’re not happy just give it away. 😛 My Althea kbeauty box

I love the Althea Beauty box so much, it’s made of good quality cardboard. I am recycling it to contain some small things, won’t tell you what they are though. Another cool promo,  you can use the code ATA150 when you shop RM150 and above and get RM20 off. I just used it for my 2nd purchase, want to know what I got?

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask(1+1 Daebak Promotion) RM77.00
Petitfee Gold & EGF Eye & Spot Patch RM34.00
Innisfree NO SEBUM Mineral Powder RM20.00
Tony Moly Egg Pore Deep Cleansing Foam RM20.00

Total was RM151 but I applied ATA150 so the total I paid was RM131 in the end. In Malaysia, I probably had to pay RM155 for just ONE product, at Althea I could get so many. So join me, sign up and shop today!

  1. Nice haul, babe! That Piolang Gold Mask is a real steal! Althea is definitely a game changer when it comes to online shopping in Malaysia.

The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask is something I’ve been using for quite a while and it’s soooo good! The 1+1 deal is definitely worth it! xx

  2. WOW This is great!I went through the website after this and I found a lot of product with unexpected discounts !the packaging is attractive as well i think Im going to start purchase something from the website.cant wait to try!

    • There are products meant for allergic skin, try to diagnose and find proper ones that suit you, I have really sensitive skin too

  3. Oh thats great to know about this shop. I haven’t heard of it as i am here in U.S. and normally shop at http://q-depot.com/ they sounds quite professional and offers free worldwide shipping for orders above $69. I have been bitten by some small online shops earlier and surely some of them sell products close to expiry or even fake. Those fakes are coming from China. So all be aware. Good luck and stay beautiful always!
