For the first time last week, I attended an event that invited Josiah instead of me, and since he is only 6, we as parents were required to tag along. We get to stay in Genting First World Hotel which Josiah reviewed, and that evening, we get to feast at Rajawali Restaurant in Awana Hotel. My, what a mighty feast it was!

I love the whole setting of the restaurant, with walls of brick and a very high roof and outdoor seating. It was just nice for some lamb roasting and satay bbq. We were served like kings with tables already reserved for us.

I always take fruits before my meal, and here in Rajawali, there were more than enough fruits for your sweet tooth, including even lychee. The fruit cuttings were very fresh and of course, refreshing!

Next up, some protein with Satay, the satay was freshly bbqed on the spot outside, bringing the fragrance into the restaurant. It was very popular as there was always a line of people waiting for it, very juicy and generous amount of meat was used.

The roast lamb was the one not to be missed though! I love love love it too much, I told Josiah I could just eat this all night.

It was roasted just right, and add some bbq sauce, perfect, soft and juicy and succulent juices from the lamb will melt into your mouth.

Roti canai were also available here, made to order. I had some Tosei which was usual.

For those who love Pasembur, there were many choices here to mix what you love.

There was a big selection of seafood bakar, like ketam bakar, ikan bakar, sotong bakar and more.

IMG_8173
What’s special here was not just because it was 3000 ft from the sealevel, but you get serenaded while you dine too.

IMG_8175
I love that they have coffee machines by Nescafe here, I miss my daily 3 cups of coffee by dinner time.

IMG_8176
It was actually good coffee, with frothy milk to boot, just nice after a big meal.

IMG_8178
Lots of other offerings here that I did not manage to eat, like Char Kueh Tiaw and noodles that you could cook yourself on the spot.

IMG_8179
Ice cream! It’s not just for kids, but ya, kids will love this, but so do I. Eat all the ice cream you want with the cold weather here in Awana.

Dessert are not cakes but all types of kuih muih to end the meal.
