An ‘EnerZ-ised’ Bloggers Family Gathering

During Mother’s Day weekend, me and my family had the opportunity to visit Enerz Indoor Extreme Park just opened in Subang Jaya and we had the most awesome time ever.

EnerZ is an INDOOR EXTREME PARK and sports arena with 80,000sq of activity space for tots and teens and in-betweens and anyone else who is young at heart with energy to burn.

It was the most fun Mother’s Day experience for me, to see my kids scale the high towers courageously and shrieked with laughter while jumping away on the giant trampolines.

Before starting to jump, we need to wear this safety socks with sticky bottom. Very good quality socks here.

At Enerz, there is a new Edutainment class for kids called Children EnerZ Edu Program, filled with games and songs and dancing, and most important, obstacle races. See the vid above. Josiah really enjoyed his time here getting to know other kids too. This class is for kids from 4-12 years old.

I think this programme is really great to challenge young children physically, and we all know that to be physically fit it does take a lot of mental and emotional power too.

At the class, Josiah get to learn about team building and healthy competition as they were split into teams to compete in races, from walking on ropes to jumping in sacks and flying foxes. It was indeed so fun that even the mums and dads wanted to join in.

After the edutainment class upstairs, the kids are brought downstairs for the Children’s Gut Builder Obstacle Course. Those afraid of height might be a bit afraid at first, but guess what, Josiah was very afraid at first but he tried it anyways. He had to wear a protective helmet and get harnessed for security, and climb up all the obstacles up to 4 storeys high. At the end of it, he was not afraid at all and I believe he gained self confidence and self esteem as well as a better control of his balance just doing this activity. I was really proud of him for not giving up on this activity halfway.

While the kids were having their program, we parents get to go jump at Asia’s Largest Trampoline Park! I had always wanted to try this, the feeling of flying in the air. There was a coach to teach us how to jump, as jumping wrongly can cause serious injuries. We learned a few techniques and it got tougher and tougher as he tried to teach us tricks and stunts! I guess I failed miserably and will just stick to normal jumping ya.

There was even a wall climbing activity called Sky Ropes and both kids and adults can try their spiderman skills on the colourful rocks while being held by the friendly staff below, so no worries of falling down in case we couldn’t climb to the top.

There is actually a cafe inside the playground, we rested and had our lunch here before continuing on with our planned activities.

The lunch area is so nice, with tables made for adults and children too. The children felt right at home eating here.

Finally, the families gathered for some competitive games ourselves, we played trampoline Slam Dunk, Dodge Ball, Dare to Jump Foam Pit, and Air Bag Long Jump. It was not only fun but physically pushing us to the limits, so it was really a healthy fun time instead of the usual sitting around coffee shops or in front of TV on weekends for the kids.

“It’s a norm nowadays to see families sitting in restaurants without interacting with each other, focusing on their mobile phones or tablets instead. At EnerZ, we want to emphasise the importance of spending real, quality time and bonding with your family members by taking part in fun activities together. This is the main goal of today’s event,” said Alvin Tey, Managing Director, EnerZ Extreme Park.

Enerz is really a great place to use up all your energy, in a fun, unique and and healthy way while strengthening your relationships, either as a family or for your company outing, or for any teambuilding activities for organisations and more. We played whole day, from 10am-5pm and for the first time my children did not complain about wanting to go home or needing the iPads.
