Today I visited Malaysia’s first ever MOBITE, stands for Mobile, It and Electronic Expo which was held in MVEC for 3 days, tomorrow will be the last day, so you need to read about the goodies I saw and make a decision to go tomorrow! Firstly, you will find an extensive 80 global brands showcased here with 300 booths at MVEC, so this is like the biggest consumer event ever. Most importantly, admission is FREE and 2nd most importantly, GST is absorbed!
We actually went very early at 10.30am, but already there’s a long line, so please go earlier to get the voucher. Different lines will entitle you to get different vouchers, basically the vouchers are for you to purchase the Seagate 500Gb HDD for only RM99, or Tech Titan 8400 mAH powerbank for only RM9.90, or Tech Titan 8gb Thumbdrive for only RM1. No wonder there was a long line! These deals are brought to you by KooZaa Dotcom the official eStore partner of MOBITE.
Once inside, we visited KooZaa booth to get more freebies, just LIKEÂ their Facebook page enough.
The first booth as we enter was TuneTalk, which is the official Telco of MOBITE. TuneTalk will give visitors 6 months of FREE data for making purchases at MOBITE. Customers can even port in to Tune Talk at this booth.
TuneTalk customers also get a voucher to redeem FREE CHAIWALLA & CO Beverage.
The pop-up store is very cool, skateboard stools and wooden counters, but most of all the drinks are really nice and refreshing. I had Apple tea with bubbles in it and Passion Fruit Tea with Nata De Coco…it’s so important to keep hydrated when visiting expos right?
Next is the popular AMD booth which will attract both Tech Enthusiasts to check out the Mainboards Demo and also Slurpee lovers as they are giving it away for free.
Kids are going to love this booth, so bring along your kids to enjoy MOBITE.
VIVO is next, and there’s this largest VIVO Smartphone X5 Max in the world for some phototaking. VIVO is the main presenter at MOBITE, there will be many activities going on here, and customers can also get to try out the various models of VIVO.
See the Wheel of Fortune behind the pretty girls? MOBITE will also reward visitors with a opportunity to win VIVO Smartphones or get a SURE-WIN gift here, just by spending a minimum of RM100 in a single receipt during this event,and tomorrow will be the last day, remember that.
Next we visited Courts Booth and they are not kidding when they say they have CRAZY DEALS. Courts is  selling IT and Electronics for as low as 50% off, and check your time because at 11am-12pm, 3-4pm, and 8-9pm, they will start their crazy 28 sen promo.
I actually bought a really nice Acer Laptop Bag at 28 sen only, limited to one per customer, if not I want to buy ten! Also on offer is a Samsung 16GB MicroSD Card worth RM66. Tell me, tell where to get such price?
MOBITE is all about innovative one of a kind gadget, and that is what MEITrack is. We happened upon this booth and I personally found this device very useful, definitely can solve a lot of those problems parents have about weird things baby sitters do or child care that they can’t trust. After walking about, we realised there’s a show on stage, KASPERSKY LAB, the co-presenter of MOBITE was going to have a product walk through and prize presentation for some of their weekly contest winners.
By the way, KASPERSKY Internet Security for Android is available at RM9.90, and the flagship products Kaspersky Anti-virus and Kaspersky Internet Security will be available at Buy 1 Free 1 during MOBITE.
There will be lots of activities here on stage, magic shows, freebies, contests going on. We got free popcorn while there at the mini contest, another thing kids love, so this expo is very suitable for parents too.
When you have Malaysians, you must have food. So we visited Sangkaya Coconut Ice Cream.
I have heard so many people blog about coconut ice cream so was really happy to get to try it for the first time. Watch the vid to find out where Sangkaya will be expanding over the next year.
We were treated to the Signature dish, which consists of 4 scoops of Coconut Ice cream without any sugar or cream, and free toppings of our choice.
We then stopped by Tech Titan, GADGETS Galore! If by now you haven’t found anything to buy, I am sure you will find something here, from Hard Disks to Powerbanks, to casings, anything can be found. This is also where you can redeem the said voucher at the beginning, to get your cheap HDD for RM99.
We can spend lots of time browsing for things here.
Just next to it, is the Doraemon Store! Doraemon is a Gadget Robot Cat, so it makes sense for him to be featured here. Lots of Merchandise and Liquidated Toys can be found here at a very discounted price. Don’t forget to buy something for your kids.
I really wanted to get this headphone port plug to keep the dust away from my tablet.
We neared the exit and checked out the Acson booth. By the way, Fu Ying and Sam are Acson ambassadors and they will make a special appearance at MOBITE for their special fans, thanks to Acson.
