Last week on our way back from Genting Highlands, we decided to visit Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm which is like 20 min from the top. This place used to be quite cold, but on that day it was rather hot with a bit of breeze. The last time I was there, it was free admission with a chargeable fee to enter the Lavender Farm inside, but now it is NOT FREE. Now the fee is RM8 for adults and RM5 for children 3-12 years. Actually, we nearly didn’t want to enter after seeing this new fee, but since we promised the kids to go, we just can’t break the promise right?
Everything is Strawberry themed here, lots of fun for children to take pics. However, the main activity is Strawberry picking, which will set you back another RM8 for 100gm. We did not do this activity as the kids do not like eating them anyways. Only 3 person can enter the ‘farm’ for picking with 1 basket each time, if there are more in your group, you would nee to pay for another basket.
The trick to pay less, which I saw people doing, was to only pick the fruit, not the stem and leaves.
This is a great place for photography and for those who loves flowers, as they are everywhere. The nicest ones are at the Lavender Farm which is not open to all. Photographers are everywhere, and there are misleading signboards saying, FREE PHOTOGRAPHY. Sure, the photography is free if you call the photographers to take for you, but the photos are not. They are about RM25 each I believe.
Josiah can take photos for us too, I’d say his composition is pretty good.
The farm is a one way street, you have to follow the route that would eventually bring you to the souvenir shop, mushroom farm, cafe and then out to more tiny shops selling all kinds of knick knacks.
Nearby the toilets is a strawberry slide, the kids had fun playing on this.
There are lots of 3D floor and wall art for photography opportunities.
More flowers nearing the exit, and even a rose farm. For those ladies who love roses…

There were lots of food at the end shop, like dried freeze fried mushrooms etc. We didn’t buy anything there, since we already paid for much for entrance. I guess they needed the funds to upkeep the place, but this might turn away a lot of tourists. Good bye Strawberry Farm, don’t think we’ll be going there anytime soon.
wow now got roses, my favourite. Last time I go very few roses and its free to enter that time.

The flowers look beautiful. The last time I went, no entrance fees but how come they impose it. Shld maintain free instead. Lol
Huhuhu everything is so expensive nowadays including the entrance fees! But I think it worth to bring the kids to explore and have fun. 🙂

This farm is very nice… we went there sometimes ago.. I heard previously no need to pay for the entrance fee one… and the day i went, is the first day they start collected a fee… Bad bad timing…
