Office Christmas Decorations on a Budget

I love Christmas time. Every year I get to use some creativity to design my office decorations from scratch. We do not usually spend a dime purchasing anything in the stores that are ready made,  so I’d use some printables and paper and make something. Well, normally I do not make much besides just putting up a star or two, but this year we did acquire the Epson L800 and it is a dream for printing in colour at a budget. After printing so much I can’t count, the ink in the ink tank didn’t even budge much. I also use the laminating machine to make all the colours pop more.

First, I printed these trio set of Love, Joy and Peace posters. I stuck them on the wall at our office door entrance. Below it, I printed this Subway art with Luke 2:13-14 on it in the shape of a Christmas tree. As my printer can only print in A4, I used the banner printing feature and stick them all together piece by piece.

Next, I wanted to make a bunch of posters from Subway art, so I just googled them and found most of them on pinterest. There are so many to choose from. I chose the ones that had meaningful words to do with scripture or Christmas, no Santa or Rudolph please.

I just stick them to all the glass windows of the office rooms. Then I wanted to make paper snowflakes. These are so beautiful but they are not easy to cut. Thankfully, I had one of my dear colleague to help cut most of it, she had pain in her fingers after cutting all them snow. Josiah helped me decorate that tiny Christmas tree, well nothing to shout about, there was no theme whatsoever. We just hung whatever can be found on it.

My main design that spanned the whole room was the Names of Jesus Christmas ornaments. I printed these on recycled cards, two for each design and stick them together, so that they are front and back. Then I use left over paper ribbons and hung them with that to the ceiling, and just stapled the ornaments to the ribbon. I didn’t even have to stick it to the ceiling, but I just looped it over the wire casing. That is to minimize any damage to the walls.

So I did all the above last week, but I wanted to add the Nativity Scene.

This was made on sticker paper which I drew on and cut out. I drew this from just referring to Google images, there are just loads of shadow nativity scenes.

There, I enjoyed decorating my office, well now the hard part is taking them down next year!
