Premiere of The 7D on Disney Channel

Most of us have watch Snow White and the Seven Dharfs growing up, The 7D is a spin off from that but do not expect much similarities with the original storyline, except that there is a princess, and there are seven little people. I first saw the above trailer on Disney Channel and Jordan, my 2 year old was so smitten by it due to the many musical instruments they were playing. Soon after, I was invited to a special screening of Disney’s The 7D which will be premiering on Disney Channel (Astro Ch 615) on 7 September, 11am!

The preview was held at Mad About Coco, a chocolate restaurant, who can resist that?

On arrival, we were immediately served some Chocolate covered Strawberries on sticks and brownies. Hot chocolate was aplenty too. Nice touch.

The kids busied themselves with colouring sheets featuring the 7D scenes and some simple memory games. Josiah played the game as well and it was quite fun for him.

Finally, all the parents and kids were ushered to the seats and the kids get to take their VIP seats right at the front. We were told a little bit of the story of The 7D and some fun facts about it too.

About The 7D

The series takes place in the whimsical world of Jollywood, where Queen Delightful relies on the 7D – Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc – to keep the kingdom in order. Standing in their way are two laughably evil villains, Grim and Hildy Gloom, who plot to take over the kingdom by stealing the magical jewels in the 7D’s mine. With seven very distinct personalities, the 7D always manage to save the day and send Grim and Hildy running back to their evil lair to try another day.

There are some big names in the voice cast of the 7D. Kelly Osbourne is the voice of Hildy, one of the villain, Whoopi Goldberg is the voice of the very funny Magic Mirror on the Wall, and Jay Leno is the Crystal Ball. With such a big cast of comedians, you can expect the story to be really funny but yet safe for your little ones, probably for those 5 and above. It’s not boring so even the adults can watch along.

Josiah really enjoyed the show. We can’t wait for it to show this Sunday, 7 Sept at 11am on Disney Channel (Astro Ch 615)!
