American Idol 2013 with P1 Mifi

It’s American Idol season and I’m a cra-fan! I cannot wait until it shows on TV to watch it, I also don’t like watching it with all the ads because time is precious to me. What’s the solution? Watch it on the go on the Asus Memopad! Yes, I’m that crazy, I can’t even wait to get home to watch the latest episode, which I was watching using the Dailymotion app. Totally clear without any ads.

I watched last week’s episode while John was having dinner in a coffee shop, and the P1 Mifi gave me a great signal (green). There was no lagging at all and it just played smoothly. I was so happy as I could catch my favourite show!

So, who is the P1 Mifi for? It’s really for gadget lovers, people who are always on the go, and those who want to save. What do I mean you can save? Well, if you’re getting a tablet (who doesn’t have one nowadays), you don’t have to get the 4G versions which will cost a lot more. Plus, if you have a tablet and a phone, both your gadget can connect to the MIFI without having to sign up and extra 3G package or plan. When you are at home, even your PC or laptop can connect as the MIFI allows up to 8 connections. For a regular internet user, we have a different package on our phone (at least RM30), and another wifi package at home (Unifi at RM140), and probably none for on the go use. At only RM69, the P1 MIFI will help you save at least RM100 already. Cool?

The P1 Mifi is also quite easy to charge. It comes with an adapter a mini USB cable. It can be plugged into the socket or you can charge it from the USB to the laptop or PC. It charges quickly and is very convenient. Since it’s using mini USB, which my tablet also uses, I only need to bring one charger when I travel. Save the space.

On my recent trip to Kuching, I even brought this gadget back. I love it that it’s so small, I can just put it inside my sling bag. I carried it everywhere and use it anywhere there is coverage. Take note though P1 is fairly new in Kuching so coverage is not wide yet. There wasn’t any coverage at my house in Kuching yet so too bad, I couldn’t test it extensively. However, it IS in Kuching so that’s the good news, because Kuching folks are so deprived of a good internet service. MY sister only uses 3G at home on her PC, it is unimaginable. Why go back to 3G when there is 4G? She can’t wait for the coverage to arrive at our house!
