Papa Bear loves Halloween, so he’s thrilled when he’s put in charge of the Bear Country School’s Ghost Walk. He has everything he needs to make it a really spooky night—cobwebs, jack-o’-lanterns, and scary monsters, Frankenbear and Grizzula. Plus, he has two excellent little helpers, Sister and Brother Bear. But, as the Ghost Walk approaches, will Papa Bear learn the hard way that one bear’s fun is another bear’s nightmare? BOO!

Find out what makes Papa Bear go “YI-E-E-E!” in this delightfully entertaining Halloween omBook. After all, “Nothing makes a grownup bear feel more like a cub than ghosts and monsters and lots of Halloween hub-bub!”

New features only available in this interactive omBook include professional narration, background audio and enlarged artwork for each scene.

To promote reading in young children, individual words are highlighted as the story is read and words zoom up when pictures are touched. By combining the original text and artwork with features that entertain and promote reading, this omBook appeals to readers of all ages.

What I think

I don’t like to talk about ghosts, but this story isn’t about ghost really, it’s more about Papa Bear’s over excitement over planning for the Ghost Walk against Mama Bear’s advice, telling him to take it easy and all. (Mamas know best!) I love the father and kids relationship depicted in the story, how Papa Bear is always doing things with his two kids, Brother Bear and Sister Bear. This is a good example to all dads out there, to involve their kids in projects etc. In the end of the story, Papa Bear really did listen to Mama Bear and toned down his scary pirate costume, and the story is one of a happily ever after where the Ghost Walk was a great success. It is a fun read for kids and adults alike.

Meanwhile did you know that Oceanhouse Media launched 4 Dr Seuss Books for Windows 8? This is a first, apps for the PC. Quite awesome and can’t wait for Windows 8 to totally invade our world.
