Apparently, sometimes in Outlook 2010 the Unread Messages appear as NOT bold. I’m not sure how they came to be but many people face that problem. Outlook 2010 is also very different from previous versions and the settings are very tricky, thus this HOW TO.
2)Click on Change View (button on most left top)
3)Select Imap messages and then Manage Views
4)Click on Modify upon the window pop up and then click Conditional Formatting button
5)Under the Unread Messages option, choose a font that is Bold, click ok.
With the above steps you can actually change the way all your fonts look in Outlook 2010 if you do not like the default.
1. Open Outlook 2010
2. Left Click on View
3. Left Click View Settings
4. At The Advanced View Settings: Compact Window
5. Left Click Conditional Formatting… Tab
6. At The Conditional Formatting Window, Left Click Desired Option, Left Click on FONT
7. Change Desired Font and/or SIZE
Thanks for the BOLD Unread messages hint. Just proves that progress can be more oxbow river than crow flies. Why ‘uninvent’ a great feature?
