Pizza Hut Kajang BAD SERVICE!

I used to think Pizza Hut chain of restaurants pride themselves with GOOD service.. no more! I am only writing this after facing terrible service for 2 times in a row in two different Pizza Huts in Kajang, one in Tesco Kajang and one in town, next to Metro Point. Now what did they do wrong?

1) Dirty surroundings
At the car park, there is litter everywhere, from KFC and Pizza hut. Regardless, this area is actually a carpark only for those going to KFC and Pizza hut, yet it is so dirty. Bad first impression. Their staff is responsible to clean up this area, especially since the rubbish came from inside the restaurant.

2) No opening of doors and no greeting, no menu
A long time ago when I visit Pizza hut, their used to be an eager staff opening the door and giving a friendly greet. That day when I went, nobody was there. Worse still, even after sitting down, nobody came to give the menu and take orders.

As you can see from this pic, all the crew were standing behind the counter chit chatting and doing don’t know what. I waved at them to come over to give the menu at least. One of them glared at me like I am bothering her and then strut towards me with the menu with a face like I owed her a million bucks.

3) Missing food order
This happened in Tesco Kajang, our order was late, even though there were only one other customer in the restaurant. They were having this promo, free RM5 voucher if your pizza is late after 15 minutes. We waited and waited, it was way past half and hour, When we told the supervisor about it, she didn’t even smile or apologise but gave a face of total dissatisfaction. Don’t bring your problems to work ok. When we asked for the voucher she gave it like a millionaire giving money to the poor. One of our order was late, or actually, it never came. The kitchen staff was like, no choice la…we have to cook it you know. Wow, since when it takes an hour to cook chicken wings.

4) Dirty dirty toilets
I went to the toilet in Pizza hut town, and it was totally undermaintained and dirty. The tape was leaking too. Bad for business.

Finally, no smiles and no apologies. I understand that work is hard, you are standing all day, you face some rude customers even. You’re tired, you have problems at home. But please, you are in the service line, buck up. Courtesy is utmost importance to the company image. I know that Pizza hut really place high importance on this, so that is why I am so disappointed with the kind of crew they have nowadays.

  1. Ya, totally agree with u, the pizza hut at Wangsa Maju also have the same poor service like what u said. I have Banned this restaurant from this Jan, no longer go there.

  2. Too true! I experienced the same thing sometime in June when I was at Pizzahut Kajang (the one next to Metropoint). No smiles from the waiters, long time before they came to take the order, and worse of all, it took over half an hour before they brought the Chicken rice set (or whatever they call it) that I ordered for take-away.

    It was so frustrating waiting for over half an hour just for the food to come especially since I was already done with eating the one I intended to eat there.

    I even ended up missing our school bus…It was really annoying…. I’ve never returned to that place after that day! Too bad!! 🙂

    Very Slow Service. No Suggestion Box. Food is NO Good.
    Nice restaurant, but SAD… Very Bad Service since
    one year ago.

    i am sure that with your straight forward view to doing to business and customer orientation, wish to bring to your notice that the Pizza hut in Dr Radhakrishnan Salai for home delivery service needs a better customer view to service levels which i have been observing for the past 3 occassions of my order placements; pathetic service with add on arrogance for reasoning delayed and most of the delivery delays are beyond 1 hr 30 minutes: to see some better resources in place while the product quality is wherein people look uopn Pizza hut and i have been a customer for nearly 8 years for now.

  6. Hi…. I had a very bad experience from pizza hut on the 11th October 2011. I ordered for pizza at 2:05 am and the order was taken my a boy named Jerald from the toll free section ( 600569999) and was promised to deliver within 45 mts to my residence in Al Tawn, Sharjah. Me and my friends waited until 3:50 am and did not get the order which is almost 1 hour and 45 minutes. I tried calling the toll free number several times but could not get through in the new order telephone line and the follow up order line nor the complaint and suggestion line. I waited until 3:50 am, but have not heard from anyone in pizza hut nor the delivery person even though i was put on hold for almost 15-20 mts. i just lost my telephone charges on making several call to Pizza hut and following up on my order. The service is very very poor and there is no proper follow ups nor can anybody follow up on their orders. This is ridiculous and please ask one of the store managers to follow up on this and get back to me as I have lost the trust in ordering with Pizza Hut and made me in a very difficult situation that i am unable to order any food at this point of time since all the shops are closed and me and my friends had to starve because of the irresponsibility and the lack of professionalism of the staffs in Pizza hut. This is not at all acceptable from a reputed international food chain like this. Finally at 3:55 am a man name Ahmed Yamanny calls me from ( 0556026803 ) and tells me that he will be here in 10 mts. Is this the kind of service that anyone requires from Pizza Hut ?????????????????? At 4:00 am a girl by name Meladi calls and says that she is calling on behalf of the manager from ( 0556026369 ) and says that they cannot find my location. who does not know Al Tawn in Sharjah, U A E and when i received my order at 4:15 am i asked for the bill and the delivery boy was hesitating to give the bill and said it was free and later I had to shout at the guy to give the bill and he went down and got from his car and saw that the delivery address was clearly mentioned in the bill. This was the worst customer service that i have ever got in my life and don’t know how many situations happen like this every day and the concerned persons really don’t know about this. This is an insult for the international team as well. Please look into this matter to improve business and make more revenue.
