How to get 250MB Hotmail

Here’s some simple steps on how to upgrade your Hotmail account to 250MB from 2MB.

1.- Go to My Messages>Options.

2.- Go to Personal >my profile

3.- Choose United States for Country, Florida for States and postal code 33152 save changes

4.- Go to www.passport.net and sign in.

5.- Choose to close my .net Passport account under Customer Support.

6.- You will get this prompt “Your .NET Passport account has an “@hotmail.com” e-mail address. To close this account, you need to contact Hotmail Customer Support.” Just click on Contact Hotmail button.

7.- You will come to the Close account screen. Don’t worry about what’s written there concerning your emails will be deleted. What they really meant was your email will be in the process of deletion if you don’t reactivate. Just click on Close My Account.

8.- Open your account again and reactivate your account.

Follow the steps and walla! you’ve got 25mb and in a couple of weeks you get
250mb for free

    This trick is valid :-) Previously I’ve made a similar post at here.

    But, it’s 100% assurance that your account will be automatically upgraded to 250MB in weeks? As far as my own experiences are concerned, after 2 months, I’ve yet to get the increase of capacity to 250MB :-)

    It works for me to get until 25MB only as well. Oh well, stick to Gmail ok.

    I have my email account upgraded to 25MB but still not upgraded to 250MB even after more than 2 months !! Any hint on how to get the upgrade from 25MB to 250MB ?

    Leona: For how long have you been waiting ? Coz they said that we should allow 1 month for the upgrade to take place and it’s been around 3 months and still I only got 25MB. May be we should write to microsoft support !

    Mark: I had waited about 2 months? Anyways, we can’t write to Microsoft Support. We in Asia are not supposed to get the 25Mb in the first place. This is after all tricking Microsoft. So, like I said, I’m not too fussed whether or not I get the 250Mb at all now, since I’ve got Gigabytes at Gmail. Do you want a Gmail invite?

    Leona: Thanks but I already have an account on Gmail and I guess and like you said we tricked Microsoft to get the 25Mb :):).. Anyway, we’ll have to wait, hopefully we get the 250MB.

    it appears that hotmail has found out about this trick and has kind of stopped people from being able to change their location. when i tried mine many months ago it was ok. as you can see. many people manage to do it. but recently i tried to help a friend, but it didn’t work. sorry.

    You forgot to mention that the account language should be English =) that’s no prob 4 you but i’m neither American or Canadian or British etc.

    the best method is just send mails to your own account. it should exceed 25 mb . hotmail will automatically upgrade your account to 250 ..

    sagorr, create a gmail account if u need gigabytes of storage. u can’t expect microsoft to give you that much storage…
