Blogexplosive tragedy

As our newspapers and media continue to focus on the after effects of the Tsunami and earthquake in South East Asia, of death toll rising and possible aftermaths, let’s continue to offer our prayers for the lost especially for possible survivors still missing.

I’ve recently started to use Blogexplosion and found it to be a very useful tool, not just for generating traffic to my site, but also to find many interesting blogs while doing so. I’ve stopped by a few blogs while surfing thru, especially on blogs talking about the recent Tsunami case. It was very touching to read of people from all the way in US etc, mourning with South East Asia on this tragedy.

I realised too many people are connecting this tragedy with 9/11. Although the source of these two life quenching happening was totally different. It’s probably the magnitude of both these events and its emotion stirring effects, also I believe big time medias like CNN have a huge contribution to it. I myself hadn’t seen any clips of the effects on TV at all, just seen the pictures on newspapers and read some blogs. Nevertheless, I could feel the impact of it all through the countless sharing on many bloggers’ minds.

As many people start questioning why this is happening, let us in learn how fragile life really is, let us learn not to take things for granted, let not these lives that are lost be lost for nothing. As hard as it had hit us, let us take this lesson and learn that every life and every soul is precious, those of us who seem unaffected, who are still sitting comfortably in our homes, are we fulfilling the purpose of our very life on this Earth? Are we doing our part, life here is but a transition, not eternal. Are we living as if Earth is our final destination, or do we know we have a better destiny. Do we know where is our exact destiny. Have we booked the ticket to that destiny?

I pray that our brothers and sisters who have left have fulfilled a purpose even through their departure, that they are now in peace and on their way to their final destination, meeting once again with their Creator.

  1. I guess I can see how people might tie this to 9-11, just because of the loss of life. Here in the US we have never known loss like that.

I don’t think they can be compared, though. This tradgey first of all, was caused by mother nature, and secondly, is so much more devestating in terms of loss of life.

I personally have been bothered by the “entertainment” news who have to report of the super model who survived it, or the Oscar winner’s experience. Not to take anything away from them, because I’m sure it was just as scary for them, and just as dangerous, but what about the mothers and fathers morning their children, or the childre now orphaned? To me, that’s so much more important.

I pray for everyone affected. There just aren’t words…

Thanks so much for visiting my site!
