It is customary for Chinese to celebrate their child’s first month on earth with either a gathering of friends and food or giving of gift packs with food and red eggs. Well, we thought for a long time which we wanted and settled for a buffet dinner at our house.
So we celebrated Josiah’s full moon with a party on Sunday 8 March…
The one month hasn’t all been easy, but time does fly. This is Josiah wearing his pajamas all the way from Slovakia, which travelled on air for one month. Thanks to Aylwin and Li-Ann and Arielle. I gave them the honour by using the clothes they bought on his special day.
We had the party pretty early at 5pm as baby usually need to sleep by 8pm. So, people thronged my small little house, thank God that everything worked out fine.
My sister Gabby also came in time from Kuching to see baby Josiah.
Later in the evening we had our baby dedication service, having the honour of Ps Chan conducting the service. It was a time of praising God for His gift and dedicating Josiah and ourselves to continue to serve Him and bringing up the baby in all His ways.
After the party, I immediately konked out! The party was great and thanks to everyone who came!
thanks leona! i’m glad it reached on time… i’ve to say though, the food looks sooo good even from here. weeeehhhhh
