In those days, we used to travel in KLIA and I liked it a lot, until we were kicked to LCCT, that small, cramped little airport. I can’t imagine what we can do to hang out at LCCT if there is a flight delay. At least my delay experiences at KLIA wasn’t that bad, and Burger King was there to sustain the wait, plus there are way so many chairs and benches to lie down on to take a nap. At LCCT, there isn’t even a place to sit and wait for your flight, I always have to sit at the cafeteria or some place. Well, that’s because LCCT wasn’t made to be an airport to carry humans, it was used for Airasia temporarily. LCCT is more suited for carrying cargo, that’s what it really is for.
Anyways, so when the news of KLIA East, a joint venture of Airasia and Sime Darby was announced, I was actually happy to hear that, amidst the bad press. Isn’t it great to have an airport totally owned by Airasia, then there’s no more excuses of not enough runways to land the flight and causing delays.
Furthermore, I can’t wait to see the kind of facilities there will be there, of course we won’t want to compare it to KLIA, the very ghostly place now. To book a domestic flight in Costa Rica today is a reality. But it is enough if it’s not so cramped with people and no place for parking etc. Plus, if their plans go well, it will be so much easier to go there from the KTM that stops at LABU and their planned extended railway that goes straight to the airport. Going to Nilai and waiting for a bus is not all that fun.

I’m throwing my support behind Air Asia on this, it’s about time they stood up to the unfair treatment hurled at them all these years.
Hopefully this will lower down the fees for Air Asia passengers 😀
