Today somebody asked me why I never update my blog, and then it hit me, I actually kind of lost it in the last couple of weeks. So I’m forcing myself to blog about why I can’t blog. It has certainly been on my mind, I had been wondering, why every slightest idea or concoction that I wanted to blog about, would seem preposterous the moment I sit myself down and look at my write post page. Then I would, ‘Nah, forget about it.’ And go ahead and do something else. In fact, the blogs I subscribe to in Bloglines, sometimes seem uninteresting…even my favs that I know would make me laugh, like Viewtru , would have the number of posts growing, and I never click on it. What has happened? Is this a phase? Have I grown out of blogging and blogs? Is blogging a fad?
It certainly isn’t for others in the blogosphere. I see people continue rambling on about their lives, issues of the world, etc etc. I hope I haven’t grown out of it, coz I just spent some money on this domain name, finally my own domain.
Now that I’m at it, I realise something that sparked this post. I was actually at this cafe, called the Central Hongkong Bistro and Cafe, situated in Sg Long. I had been to this place a couple of times, the first time was good, I was impressed with the environment and food. The second time was terrible, as the service was bad, and the kitchen never has what’s in the menu. I had vowed never to go to that place again, but today, I forgot the last time. So, I thought of going there for a drink, they had nice mango snow ice.
So I was there, and there was live music. There’s this guy on the keyboard, and this specky girl, singing some sad, lovey, Mandarin numbers, which I tried hard to understand but couldn’t catch a word. I reckon they played the music way too loudly, there was feedback, and we had to shout to get ourselves heard. Hhm…anyways everything was cool, till paying the bill time. Coz you know what? Never EVER GO THERE coz they are CHEATERS! When I ordered the Snow Ice drink, the menu says RM4.50 for it. But when paying the bill says RM7.50! Hey that’s nearly double the price! Then they showed a totally different menu that says RM7.50 for the drinking hour of 9pm to 2am! I mean, hey, isn’t that like cheating? Why show a different menu when we were ordering, and charge a different rate? I really told myself never to go back there. The service was just bad, and once again, the kitchen didn’t have the thing my friend wanted to order, as usual.
n i’m actually the one who ask her..haha
aiyo… chialat la you, why you went back to that cina pek place lah. next time you forget, i’ll remind you wat happened to us ok? 😀
About blogging, don’t sweat it. If you don’t feel like talking then no need lor.. IMHO, the worse kind of blogs are those who have nothing to say but want to blog anyway. The result, plain nonsense.
