Kajang experienced a blackout earlier this afternoon, as reported by many bloggers immediately after that. I was spending the whole morning doing non computer related work, and thought I could resume my computer work after that, unfortunately, just as I had finished, the blackout happened. It was the second time a blackout happened in this new office, so I thought it was merely some funny TNB people messing up the wires.
Anyways, I had some time to read up on cults, and then went out for lunch. It was really hot, so a good excuse for cendol!
My office secretary then told that the blackout is so major, that it’s gonna last for many days! Apparently she got the news from a Telekom guy who did our telephone lines. She started calline her relatives as far a Jinjang to get more news. Apparently, blackout was happening there too. Everyone in the office had disappeared by then. Some, upon hearing that it was going to be long term, headed for home.
I had to start working on more non computer related work, like pasting wallpapers and stuff. I thought that I can relax away from the computer for a while, it would be a good excuse to not do most of my work. Well, sadly, the electricity resumed service shortly after. Seems the blackout affected many areas in the Klang Valley all the way to Malacca. I was tempted to either go the Penang or Putrajaya. Seems that Putrajaya generates their own electricity or something.
It could have been the country’s worst blackout ever, but not really. TNB had no idea what triggered the blackout, but I must tell you, it was the funny TNB guy ok. You heard it here first.
Hope the electrisity still are there! I think that short blacout’s can be kind of fun – then we sure have to do things we can’t do in front of the computer; and that is a good thing too 🙂
ya it was restored in some places max after 3 hours…TNB had a hard time fielding some mean questions from some reporters. they have come up with the reason behind it, but many are still thinking it’s just an excuse. I tell you, it’s the funny guy!

Nationwide BlackOut
And I had 3 agonising hour without broadband, tv, and blogs for the first time in months. And to think what would’ve happened in hospitals, stock markets, and shopping centres…
